A Jemi Story- Season 2: Episode 19

[Demi's POV: Everything went by so slowly in the waiting room, I could count the seconds. When the nurse finally called my name, it suddenly felt like time had gone too fast. Tragic thoughts invaded my mind. What if I lose the babies? What if I lose Joe because I lose the babies?]
Denise: Demi, sweetie, go with the nurse
Demi: Come with me
Denise: (the terror in Demi's eyes shocked her)
Demi: Please (pleading)
Denise: Of course (she patted demi's hand and led her like a lost puppy to face the doctor)
[Joe's POV: I am worried about Demi and her strange behavior. (Runs his hand through his hair) I need to keep busy, my mind busy. (He had finished the laundry and cleaned up practically the whole house. He had even cleaned Nick's room.) Now there is nothing to do... but worry. (looks at the time on his phone) It has been almost four hours since they left. Where are they? It doesn't take that long to go to the store! Maybe I should call them (hears car door) Wait is that them! (He runs to the window to see his mom's car in the driveway and then hops down the stairs.)]
Denise: (Pauses before opening the door for Demi) Are you sure you don't want to tell him? He could help you with this. Help you make a decision, discuss this-
Demi: (cutting her off) NO! (she lowered her voice) You promised me. Besides I have made up my mind and I am aware of the consequences. Joe doesn't need to be aware just yet. (Tears formed in her eyes as she said his name. This news would break his heart and she couldn't bring herself to do that right now.)
Denise: (Wiped Demi's tears as her own eyes began to water) I love you, but I hate your decision.
Demi: Please (in a whispered plead)
Denise: (She pulled her into a hug) Alright honey, for now I will agree to keep my promise
Joe: (Opened the door) You took forever!
(The two women managed to act normal)
Demi: (Somehow managing a smile as she hugged Joe. She felt so safe in his arms. She couldn't tell him, ever.) Sorry we took so long
Joe: (Clearly could tell she had been crying) Are you okay?
Demi: Hormones (She slipped her hand in his, slowly intertwining them) I love you
Joe: (smiled) And I love you!
[Demi looked at the love of her life, her soul mate, and a piece of her heart died. She couldn't tell him, she wouldn't ever tell him. Her babies mean the world to her and they will mean the world to him. And that thought sealed the promise she had already made earlier that day. And with the seal her heart ached.]
