2) turn everyone into vegetarians

those of you who dont understand the moral obligation we have to treat food animals with compassion do not deserve your business, or respect. and sure everyone has to eat, but we dont have to be barbaric in the process. BOYCOTT countries products (yeah..,ALL OF THEM) who do not practice ethical treatment of food animals.

@AnimationAnimater12 the heart has a brain of it's own, so to speak. heart cells are programmed to contract with any sort of electrical pulse, and that has a chain reaction, so if one cell contracts, the whole heart will eventually pump. also, the pumping of the heart is an involuntary reflex, controlled by the brain stem, not the brain...

@AnimationAnimater12 the human body can become brain dead when the brain halts to cooperate with the nervous system and other body organs)but even so, the heart and other body organs will still live and function well. same thing for the fish. it's not 'alive' but alive, but obviously not for long cuz its cut in half.... if u get wat i mean.. kinda hard to explain :p

Some of you just plain idiot. All meat product are from animal. They will have to die being kill for us to have the meat.  No death is pleasant or peaceful so get over it people. You don't think how your hamburger get to your bun so STOP being an activist about animal cruelties and inhumane. Just eat the meat and shut up about how animal die.

@manun00 the meat that you eat has probably suffered anyways. Its seriously condescending to say that this is inhumane or immoral when slaughterhouses inject their poultry with hormones, closet their animals without the light of day, and put their animals onto chopping blocks. Food is an industry. until you become vegetarian I don't think you have the right to judge. How do you think meat gets on your plate?

@lilmizz16 yes and the heart is one of the organs that don't need any input at all from the brain to function, the electric impulse to make it contract comes from the AV node and gap junctions in the muscle spread it out to make it squeeze! a heart can beat as long as its got energy doesnt mean youre alive
