I also noticed that the blower hose is not attached to anything and that the pressure foot is missing. Can't help wondering if they went out and bought a used/incomplete saw for the purpose of these videos. I'm no where close to an expert, but I also noticed that he really didn't know what the blower hose was about.

is the dremel variable speed a good scroll saw?, cuz the one in the vid looks like an old rigid saw
-
could a scroll saw with the proper blade cut 3/8 inch flat stock steel?
-
it is not used for that, but it would. just as jigsaw ain't done to cut 2X4
-
could you cut a 2x4 with that
-
Thank you very much! Much appreciated!

Um, that little tube doesn't extract the dust. It's attached to bellows within the machine that blow air out of the tube. You align the end of tube with the blade, and it will blow the dust off of your cut line. If someone is going to purport to be an expert, don't give incorrect information.

correct m081779 and the bottom nozzle is where you attach a vac. line and it will suck the dust out of the bottom of the machine, its called a dust collector at that point. To bad the info isn't correct and that its a different model of scroll saw since rigid doesn't make this one at all anymore.
