Actress Nikki Blonsky and American Idol contestant Kimberely Locke in New York on December 3, 2009 with Glees favorite cast members Amber Riley (Mercedes), Cory Monteith (Finn) and Mark Salling (Puck) to help get New Yorkers get in the holiday spirit singing and coaching them through traditional (and non-traditional!) Christmas carols to support the launch of the Marshalls and T.J. Maxx Carol-Oke Contest.

Event attendees will have the chance to sing along with Nikki and Kimberely and receive coaching from Mercedes, Puck and Finn before they record their own holiday caroling video in the green screen recording booth. Videos will then be uploaded and featured on YouTubes new Caroling Channel, www.youtube.com/caroling the carolers and automatically entered into the Off-Price Carol-oke contest. Aspiring carolers across the country will also be encouraged are to create their own Carol-oke videos to upload to the site as well.




WHY: For each off-price caroling video uploaded T.J. Maxx and Marshalls will make a $1 donation to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program which will be used to purchase toys for kids across the country. A variety of prizes will be awarded and one lucky singer will win a $5,000 Christmas shopping spree
