This is a traditional Turkish Breakfast. This particular feast was on Bayram / Eid at the end of Ramadan 2009, and also the end of fasting. Was wonderful to celebrate with close friends.

- Vancouver, BC, Canada

Breakfast includes:

-Turkish pastry/bread called açma/pogaça
-normal white bread, similar to french bread
-feta cheese
-tomatoes
-cucumbers
-black olives
-butter
-honey
-nuts
-yogurt
-breakfast cream
-eggs
-Turkish sausage called sucuk (su-jouk)
-jam
-and of course tea

You're not expected to eat all of these things, but these are what you'd see at the breakfast table.

  • Dear Allah , Thank You for this meal. There are so many people who are hungry across the world, But we are so blessed to be able to eat when we want And to be able to chose what we want to eat. Let us not forget how fortunate we are .. And let us not forget the less fortunate. Amin .. Before every meal don't forget to say ; Turkish Breakfast is one of the reason I adore my country
