Hello again. This is my second plane review on youtube. This is the Lone Star 50 from texasrcplanes.com . I really ended up loving this plane. As you can see in the video there were a few issues. Most of which I think were just isolated ones to my plane. First of which being, the off center landing gear hole that I fixed. Next, the orange streak on the wing. Also, the off center fuel tank hole. The only design issue I had was the fuselage and wing joint. It looks like a part is missing. But, I plan to fix that and post a video on here describing the steps involved.
With the cons described lets go over some pro's. The price first, what a deal on a low wing sport plane. Also, the flight characteristics. I can say that this could be a "trainer". One could learn to fly on this plane very easily. It is such a blast to fly because of the forgiving characteristics and the aerobatic abilities. The qualitiy is also great. Monokote covering, laser cut ply and foam covered wings. This thing is very sturdy. I am willing to bet it will handle some very rough landings without a problem. I do however recommend this plane to be paired with at least a .46 . It would be a shame to putt around on a .40 and not realize it full potential because a weak motor. A .55ax from OS is perfect. With no wind it the plane will almost hover.
We all have planes that we will never sell. There is that plane is everyones' hanger that we keep just to have fun with, to gain confidence after a expensive crash, or to teach a new-commer to the hobby. This is that plane for me.
As for the issues I did have. Since texasrcplanes is a "mom and pop shop" I am willing to bet if you have a off center gear hole, or defect on a wing, Robert (the owner) will take care of you. He is a very good guy and cares about this hobby and his customers.

Song is luckenbach texas by waylon jennings.
A special thanks to Nate Johnson the camera man. He is a fellow frankenmuth aero modelers club and just happend to be able to step in for me. Great Job!
