I heard that the dude that committed suicide got impaled by the flag pole, which they had to cut down to get him out of it, bleh X_X
Supposedly, there are pics of what happened floating around on the net.

id say buffalo is alot better than detroit. ive only stopped there for a couple of hours on my way to new york city but the atmosphere is completley different. still, if your in the empire state i wouldnt recomend buffalo as one of the top attractions. best place to be is NYC. :)

I've been up here at least 10 times,. It's great to go up there in the winter when there's a lake effect snowband coming in. You can literally see it just come in and take over everything. City hall is awesome.

I don't understand how anyone can relate Buffalo to Detroit, if you look at the videos on this site of Downtown Detroit and then watch Buffalo. I'm amazed at how VIBRANT Buffalo really is and how the ONLY empty high rise is the Central Terminal compared to 12 empty skyscrapers in the heart of Detroit.

It will .... it has too. Its too bad the whole area could not be annexed to Ontario because it would be re vitalized quickly.

People on BuffaloMe were talking about that. I guess there are a lot of plans for the Waterfront.
I wonder what else is in store for Buffalo in the future.
Hopefully Niagara Falls will also make a comeback.

Usually once a year [during the Taste of Buffalo], I go to Buffalo.
Once or twice, we tried to go into City Hall because we wanted to go to the Observation Deck.
For some reason, we weren't allowed because of some tour or something I don't really know why we weren't allowed up there. It's just what I was told.
The view from the deck is awesome.
I remember hearing that someone actually jumped from the deck and landed on that statue in front of the building.

One of the elevators will take you to the 26th floor (highest any elevator can go), then you have to walk up to the top floor. There was no security in their main lobby, which surprised me when I took my camera equipment in. If I remember, when you enter City Hall from the Lafayette Square entrance, the elevator you need to take is to the left when you get to the center of the main lobby.
