  • a year after this one that was when they all had first had, a whole dedicated 30-min. 5:00 news cast , then, 2, 4 , followed suit, also., ch. 4 , had the 5:00 news went for a full hr, then the other two channels ( 2 , 7 ) started it as well... Jason+

  • What a voice. Commander Tom.

  • @Parkwaymania yes i remember that lol i was soo young!

  • @Parkwaymania: nice, i never knew about fright night, but it way better than the talk shows that fill the 11:30pm slots now....did wivb, wkbw, and wutv also show horror films after the 11pm news on saturday nights??...my mother frequently went out on sat nites back then (around 1987), and i faintly remember waking up late at night to find my babysitter scaring herself silly watching one of these movies in the family room with the lights dimmed...

  • wow this was the pre-oprah era...which aired on wkbw from 1986-1991ish...this must've been during the summer of 1985 judging from the temperatures irv gave...

  • The one and only Commander Tom Jolls speaking.

    We love you Irv Weinstein

  • He was.

  • 2:20 Intro the $1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime, which aired on WKBW from Season 1, but i know WKBW carried the 2nd season of the show, is that true?

  • I'm cheering for the Wind family!

  • Irv Weinstein, in his manner of delivery, sounds like he was the part inspiration for SCTV's "Earl Camembert" character.
