Back in the 1960s and 1970s on Earth, Trons roamed free and existed in peace with mankind, but as time went on and mankind grew more paranoid thanks to fear tyrannies and easier methods of producing soundtrack style techno beats that seem to intensify things, we began to drive Trons into extinction. Luckily, IK Multimedia saved them and safely contained them in SampleTron.

Bill Holland plays ball with some of the included sounds of various organs and other vintage instruments and even effects that'll help you utilize tones and instruments that have provided the glue for everyone from the Beatles to Nine Inch Nails. See more on Gearwire.com.

  • Artifake Labs offers a great virtual Mellotron download for free.

You can get 3 versions including a virtual MKV as well as the M-400.It is a VST plug in so you need a VST host. (Cantabile Lite is a free download and works well.)

I have it on my laptop and it works great with a Korg Microkey MIDI keyboard.

  • Can u upload some of the chilesque or whatever it is that sound like the 50s please do a loop of it please please please

  • Great VSTi plugin for anybody drooling over Mellotron sounds!

I bought it this last summer : )

The video suck donkey balls, though! :(

Who the fuck would want to buy those silly noises after hearing this!

  • cool

  • it sound like amateur VST dont buy...

  • I am looking into a virtual 'Tron, and I need someones opinion as to what software to get. I have heard better things about M-Tron Pro's sound quality, but sampletron has more rarer, and lesser heard instruments such as the optigan, talentmaker, chamberlins, etc.

  • sounds very good!
