Manimal (panther transformation sequence)

Manimal is an American action-adventure series that ran from September 30 to December 17, 1983 on NBC. The show centers around the character Dr Jonathan Chase (Simon MacCorkindale), a shape-shifting man who possessed the ability to turn himself into any animal he chose. He used this ability to help the police solve crimes.

The fact that this was done using only make-up, animatronics and clever editing tricks yet manages to look way better than any CGI transformation scen you see today, even in movies with many times the budget this had, just amazes me. That's skilled craftmanship for you.
