clavichords are known for this effect. It is especially prominent in the bass register and in pedal-clavichords this effect is grotesquely baroque. This is far from slight, on a "from dry to wet" scale this would be more then 50%, the Q factor is narrower, nontheless.

JS Bach played on his preferred instrument.... this is getting close to "baroque perfection".... yeah, you can hear the tangent action but then again so could Herr Bach.....

Beautiful! In the part of the world I live in Bach clavichord music is a rare commodity. thanks for posting!

Sehr schöne klangvolle Aufnahme. DaTimbre dieses Instuments erinnert sehr an ein Cembalo. Vielen Dank für das bereitstellen

Is a clavicord or a harpsichord ?

Is there any effect involved? I can hear a slightly phaser....o.O or is the instrument doin that phasing?

Beautiful Playing!
I just ordered a copy of your cd. Is this clavichord double-strung? and is it a copy of a german instrument?

No effect But you never know what computers and internet are doing with the sound.

Magnificent performance on an exceptional instrument! I would only wish for mic'ing right above the bridge, I would think that way the clack of the keylevers (charming as it is) wouldn't be so prominent.

That's correct but for the TV it's not beautiful putting mic's in front of the picture. Also if you listen on computer it's not always the correct spectrum of the sound.
For the CD we used two DPA 4006 above the instrument and two neumann M150 for the room.
