  • To blame the downfall on gas mileage is a joke. These companies have been losing money for years, up to $2000 per car. The union contracts have a strangle-hold on the profit margins of the company. Sales are largely down because of the high cost to buy American cars. If GM were to raise the prices to where they need to be to pay for the union demands, sales would drop through the floor. They can't be competitive with the high cost of unions.....period.

  • It's obvious why the libs don't want the companies to restructure. The UAW contributes massive amounts of money to the DNC every election, and any restructuring will involve the UAW releasing it's death grip on the companies.....thus reducing UAW financial power....thus reducing donations to the DNC. It's a political scam forced onto all Americans for the benefit of one party....the Democrats. We conservatives are forced through unions and taxes to support the Democrat party.

  • If you want to understand business model, understand capitalism and not communism. Knowing what would work for you is to work out yours and not their business.

  • this video was good

i liked this video :) VZ

  • Why did all 3 ask for bailout together? Are not they 3 different companies? Are banks grouping up to request bailouts. No money to them! When they fail, give assistance to the current & former workers. The GM ceo is a bump on a log and is very arrogant...Strip him of any power now!

  • Let's bail out consumers instead. Provide a rebate of $1000 per consumer for the purchase of a car.
