Getting Braces on Part 1 - Self-ligating brackets Brushing with Pumice

2nd (first is getting impressions made a week prior) in a series of "what its like to get self-ligating braces" for those who want to see the process before they go through it. Our Dr took impressions, a mold of the teeth, a week before the braces were put on. Our Dr does NOT like the "Damon System", the first self-ligating brackets, as some of them peel and need to be replaced. He uses another brand, but the concept is exactly the same. See our other videos for the complete process of getting your braces put on (just short vids of each step), including after care. It is a painless process, fairly quick (an hour or so). 1st, in this video, her teeth are being prepared for the process by polishing them with pumice (by hand, using a toothbrush) to make sure the surface is very clean and smooth so that the brackets will stick and that there's no plaque underneath.
