Let's Play Rift - Part 1 - And So It Begins

Part 1 of my 'Let's Play' gameplay and commentary in the new MMO, Rift, by Trion.

In this first ever episode of our new Rift series, we take a long, hard look at the various character architypes available in the game, and we dive into the detail of the game's fantastic UI features.

I´ve seen some of your vids and I like what I see. You can showcase games as one should and in a really good way. Recently I made a video myself but in my own little way, but I can´t ever compare myself to you. You have this drawing-power that people gets sucked into. It´s a good thing though since it makes ´em learn more about the games they want to try out. In short, what you do, makes gamers all around the world try more games worthy of being tried. Great work dude! ^_^

im downloading the game (the ftp one) and watching this while im waiting :) just to get a look at the game, and i have to say, it looks stunning :) thanks for uploading this video, its nice to get a look at a games play with commentary so i can get a hold on whether i would like it or not :)

played this game for roughly 6 months, got into one of the best guilds in EU and eventually disbanded due to the game itself being kinda horrid back then. I hope and wonder if its any good nowadays? :)

Anyway, big ups for those who still play. I did enjoy my time playing this game, hope others do aswell!

@magmaroo you're very welcome. if i may make a suggestion; have you tried the F2P version of it? if not give that a go (link is in the description above) as it allows you to play until L20 =)

@magmaroo it's a tough one, as there's no real cut and dried way of saying a game is 'busy or active'. the best measure is whether or not you're able to readily find others to play with when you feel like doing group content, i guess. if you're looking for a world that's bustling with players in the low level zones, then no MMO older than 1yr is going to give you that as most players have reached level cap =)

I see quite a bit of game with that type of interface set-up, it's nice and familiar to people who have played other games and I don't see a problem with it.

I really really want to get this game...but I've heard it isn't very active. And this is a social game. Without many active players, its not very playable. Sambo ill take your word for it since your still actively playing. Is there a lot of people on a lot. I understand that there's a ton of new games out there, and that might temporarily lower the numbers, but what do you think overall? This will be my first p2p mmorpg. Thanks. :D

if you think about it there is know good or bad in mmorpgs because what you consider bad and good the opposite faction there might be some1 different who thinks they are good and goes the opposite faction from you thinking your side is bad =P

@Helponwar Lol umad? Like sambonz said, read the goddamn box before you purchase it. So you can find things out like monthly subs. Calm down.

@CodeExoticX thanks for the kind words! glad you're enjoying the series =) re your question, sadly in my experience i've found the same. i think when someone's not invested financially in a game they feel that they're able to take it less seriously, and therefore sometimes deliberately behave in a disruptive manner just to troll or try and get attention. it's not true of all F2P players of course, but more often than not i do find more 'trouble' in F2P games.

I usually play free games and then end up paying on those for the awesome items and equips, thing I hate about it though are the complete morons of the community, in your experience of P2P games would you say the community is a much better? also awesome vid as always keep up
