OLTL - Gabrielle Looks For A Job (01-10-2002)

*NOTE* I included these scenes because I thought they were important to Bo and Gabrielle's storyline a little later on. However, these scenes do not include Bo at all.

Gabrielle is looking for a job at the Palace. She asks Viki and then Ben for a job. Then she finds an ad in the paper for a job with no experience required.

Gabrielle: Excuse me, but right here where it says "references" -- is that really necessary?

Manager: Only if you want the job.

Gabrielle: Oh, sure. Ugh. Ok.

Renée: How many times do I have to kick you out before you stay out?

Gabrielle: Renee, I --

Renée: The soup kitchen's downtown.

Gabrielle: I didn't come for a handout.

Renée: Really?

Gabrielle: No, quite the opposite. I'm here to offer my services.

Renée: Your services? There's nothing that you have that I want.

Gabrielle: Now, Renée, just hear me out, all right? Now, believe it or not, I do have hidden talents, and there's plenty that I can do for you.

Renée: There is nothing that you can do for me except get out of my life, my restaurant. Get out of town, Gabrielle.

Gabrielle: Renée, Llanview was once my home, and it's my home again now. And I truly hope that in time you and I could perhaps be friends.

Renée: Are you on something? What were you doing just now with my restaurant manager?

Gabrielle: I was filling out a job application. As I said, I have hid--

Renée: "Hidden talents." I'm not in that line of work any longer.

Gabrielle: Well, actually, I was thinking that maybe you could use a party planner or an events organizer. All the best places have those now. And with my talents, my designing talents, I could really turn this place around.

Renée: I don't need your designing talents.

Gabrielle: Well, if it's the salary you're worried about, we don't have to talk about that yet. I could start on a commission basis.

Renée: Gabrielle, I saw what you did to Asa's mansion. I saw what you did to his life. I don't want you anywhere in this space.

Gabrielle: I know this is your domain, Renée, and I respect that. I do. Perhaps I could be the hat-check girl out there.

Renée: You're broke. Asa kicks you out, Bo takes you in. What happened? Is Bo expecting you to earn your keep? Good, good. Bo hasn't lost it yet.

Gabrielle: Well, I don't need her. Ahem. Many other people in this town are going to help me. I'm sure of it. Sure of it. [she looks up at Viki] Oh, yeah.

Thank you for your incredible uploads that you have shared with all fellow Bo & Gabby fans!!!! I have enjoyed them immensely over the last say 2 years! (I have the eppys where Al is in the hospital after a fight with Cristian at the Quarry & Max & Gabby visit him alot) but 75% of your clips are segments I thought I would never see again!!!!! Fiona was & is my fave actress in all of Daytime TV- Her romance with Bo was just sheer perfection for the year & a half it lasted!

I am so glad to have found these old videos! I remember watching One Life from the summer of 2001 all the way until they killed off Jen Rappaport in May of 2005. After that I tuned out. Gabrielle was one of my faves, reminded me of my mom because of the hair and accent. She is greatly missed.
