http://www.tulsafoodblog.com - Corner Cafe might not be the ideal Valentine's Day date. however, if you are looking for a bit of an adventure and an awesome chicken fried steak on Tulsa's stretch of Route 66...this is your spot. For some, walking into Corner Cafe will give you a feeling that will make you want to walk out immediately. For others, it might be your kitchen away from home. Corner Cafe is the restaurant that takes up the spot on the corner of Peoria and 11th Street (Historic U.S. 66). For years I have driven by this place on my way back from downtown. I always have said to myself, man I wanna go there. Every time I imagined this, my mind would take flight dreaming up ginormous portion sizes, extra thick gravy (just the way I like it) and super flaky Chicken Fried Steaks that just about cover your plate. Something really thats fit for one of those hard-workin cowboys. Although I am not a cowboy, I do love all that Oklahoma has to offer when it comes to food and culture.
