Obamas Blackwater? Jeremy Scahill on Triple Canopy, the New Lead US Mercenary Force 4/2/09

The Obama administration has confirmed the hiring of mercenary firm Triple Canopy to take over Blackwaters contract to protect US diplomats in Iraq. Part of the firms job will be to protect the monstrous US embassy in Baghdad. We speak to independent journalist Jeremy Scahill, who has also just revealed that the administration is using Triple Canopy to protect US diplomats in Israel.

The simple truth: Blackwater is under a contract which makes its members virtually untouchable. They are only accountable to the the president and the corporation they work for WHICH IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. If you are for the War on Terror then you must be patriotic enough to support the constitution. If you are AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION then, and only then, can you justify Blackwater.

I know I am right. You can't stomach going it alone, and would only feel secure and supported because. That's why the sovereign freedom fighters will win, because they are willing at times to go it alone... it necessary.

Of course you have helped their military, thats part of the "deal" along with Karzai's government. You pay the Afghan soilders salaries... what a joke! @tpwatson We are not fighting a country, we are fighting a rogue faction of a religion. HOWEVER, i the i think it would be easier to just nuke the whole damn country. that being said we have actually helped out the military there quite a bit, so i mean i could see how we are helping out just a little bit. maybe? oh and the resident militaries (aside from getting training from) work with US forces and even help with ECPs, convoys, and other things. home raids are a thing of the past though
