  • Too bad many of these homes are trashed by low income families

  • Bad and bigoted choice of words. The upside truth of that statement is that if affluent people moved in, they could afford the necessary improvements. The low income people are just living in the places as they find them.

  • It s sad that all of the paper mills in Maine are all maintained with Low paying Non-union craftsmen. Most all of these mills were built with union labor.

  • Odd and untrue statement. The New Page paper mill in Rumford is unionized top to bottom.

  • i grew up in rumford and i am making a video movie on my home town and would like to use your video and potos for the video you can rch me at pats846@yahoo.com thanks lennie

  • I grew up in the park and am proud to say that I did and my mom still lives there. I have some fabulous memories and share those with people I still to this day keep in touch with. The problem isn't with the low income its the landlords who buy the property cheap and just expect to make a profit. There is a group trying to help the park, Unfortunately they don't get much help from the town unless its to when the park gets positive notoriety for work they didn't do.

  • I am working on a grant for Strathglass Park Preservation Society and could use your assistance with the information you have on the history of the park. Please contact me at candice.casey@maine.edu

  • I did not say all of them. And if you drive by you can notice that, not all families trash it but some do. Just because you have a low income, doesn't mean you have to live a certain way.

  • What a great job! Thank you for putting your time and talent into this.

I appreciate that you are appropriately optimistic while being forthright about the potential problems of investment.
