@lakeerie90s I was there the night Nilan butt ended Rick. He was trying to rough Middleton up, but ended up crossing the line, which is why he paid. If you think it was a goons job to attack skilled players, then why can't I find 500 videos on youtube of guys like Twist, Probert, Byers, Kordic, Grimson, and Odjick attacking guys like Gretzky and Lemieux on a daily basis??? If that was their job, Gretzky would have never lasted an entire season.

@BoSoxnation1972 your last statement is almost correct; but there was one goon of the 80s who sometimes went after star players: chris nilan - for example his butt end on rick middleton. everything about brashear also applies to nilan (yapping, taunting, going after non fighters or 2nd tier fighters, etc).

When you throw so many borderline cheap hits like Stevens you should be prepared to back it up with a scrap. Stevens hardly fought because he was such a pussy. The odd time he did fight he got shitkicked. What an asshole. Love when Lindros pounded the crap of that pussy! Worst HOF entry ever.
