MP vows to take Lake saga to parliament

The chairman of parliaments agriculture committee held a one on one meeting with a man who has confessed to dumping litres of hazardous chemicals into lake Naivasha. The man reiterated his claims to Mututho, who is also the area mp. He is promising to take up the matter in parliament.

@72okoths Although I think Mututho is right that NEMA and Otuoma are wrong or trying to hide something about the true cause of death of fish in the Lake, I agree with you that there are better-qualified people in that parliament, so Mututho could just be an 'experienced observer' but not a well-read agriculturalist/environmentali­st as he claims to be! If the confessor is right that they dumped Roundup into the lake, the fish got a dose of phosphonomethylglycine, a deadly glyphosate compond

For 1000s of years the lake and fish in it have existed harmoniously. in a span of 10 - 20 years of the advent of flower farms both the lake and fish are/will be facing extinction.

@magadiboy: Water samples were collected by Ministry of Water and sent to Nairobi gov't Chemist. They are still analyzing and b4 or around 2030 we will know the test results! Hang On! (did you know if this Lake dries up so will Lake Magadi?)
