TO EVERYONE WHO'S FUNCTIONS (REVERSE) ARE GRAYED OUT -
i had a big problem trying to find out how to do this, the reason it won't work is because when you convert it into a new audio file you need to go down to the file format drop down menu and select WAVE. then it will work and you will be able to reverse your file or do whatever it is you weren't able to.

This man seems like a wiz at this stuff. pretty cool
Hmm... some very clever little tricks, but it feels more like something that would be solved more easily in other ways. For example, perhaps something like splitting a waveform and mapping the splits to an EXS instrument, so that the stuttering can be mapped as a MIDI sequence? Or umm... perhaps an Ultrabeat? I'm still learning my way around some of the trickier parts, but this seems like a perhaps less than optimal solution... Logic could do well with its own native slicer for this work :)

It's true that there are more than one way to skin this cat... I use the EXS and in tip #2 I think I go over that technique.. The thing is, when you are getting meticulous, many times the best way is to use audio in this fashion. Ultrabeat works well in sidechain mode as well, but I find sometimes that this method is just slightly faster. Luckily, in Logic there's at least 7 ways to get what you want, and your flow will determine your tools and techniques! Have fun, *bows*
