ok sir... so you say this:
a = b
if a = b then a- b = 0
during your part you divide by (a-b) so you divide by 0 which is not allowed during maths :) So sorry your proove is wrong

@iObsidian Why are you bringing in language? Calm down man. It's the internet.
You CANNOT divide by 0!!!!!! It does equal infinity but infinity doesn't exist!!! When you think about it long enough, you realise infinity can equal ANYTHING as long as you don't count on one more. It can equal 0.00001 as long as I don't think about the number 0.00002! That is why you can't do it! Because it can equal anything you want it to!
If you think infinity is a true number then that means 1 = 2!!!

@YZB25 Let me tell you why that's bullshit.
You CAN divide by zero. In fact, it's simply "infinity".
0 can go into any number an infinite amount of times.
Dividing by zero is equal to multiplying by infinity.

@pivotman64 no you CAN'T divide by 0. It's something that simply doesn't have an answer. It's not that it's not done because it causes a paradox it's simply that you can't logically do it.

@sn8k hi.. ask ur teacher how to explain this
x+x+x+......(x times)=x^2 (x square)
differentiating both sides
1+1+1+....(x times ) =2x
x=2x
1=2 :)

@PriestRSC you can easily divide by zero, it's just not recognized in a real-world application of mathematics
-
He divided by 15
Every single one of you guys are WRONG. You cannot divide by zero.
Please graduate algebra 2

@PriestRSC the whole thing was an extra credit question for the class to see who was paying attention for that week's lesson(s). He even states it at the end that there is a fallacy that needs to be pointed out.
