Based on new and exclusive forensic evidence, this new one-off 60-minute special reveals a darker and more ruthless side to the Queen of Egypt, traditionally mythologised for her beauty, her love affairs with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, and, finally, her suicide.
Here are some links to a friend of mine and how he is futher investigating the subject

  • Umm,Cleopatra's sister would've done the same to her if she had a chance, Cleopatra did what she had to survive. Some of the greatest rulers in History did questionable deeds, but Cleopatra was chased out of the city by her own family who tried to kill her first, I call that self defense. Some men just can't deal with independent women who won't be all sweet and sugary, so the women get branded as whores when they really were brilliant and smart. Get over it already!

  • They say that Cleo was ugly cuz she had a hooked nose!!!! But maybe back then a hooked nose was the ultimate sign of beauty. try to see the ancient world as the ancients saw it.

  • IF you think about it, if they do a dna caore sample of the bones, and link it genitallcy to anyone alive, the might also be the desendents of alexander the great, for ptolemy was said to be a 2nd of third cousin to alexander....

  • I do not know of any certain ruler, or warrior, or any man or woman with power, now or back then, that did not use mirder, deceiving and numerous other ploits and ruses to get what they wanted. It is just that nothing much is left, and this is how they are being presented as great people. But each great person has a dark side. As they have said: History is someone's words. One can never be so sure of how things really happened.

  • why is demoman narrating this?

  • a ruthless killer? so was Octavian, now idolized as Augustus Caesar. You do remember the proscriptions whereby the 2nd triumvirate. Octavian, Anthony and Lepidus, created and enforced death lists?

when monarchy has real power in it real murder is part and parcel of it

  • @kimokamal5 "Cleopatra's nose, had it been shorter, the whole face of the world would have been changed." B. Pascal

  • @dreamer777able yes, but I do think it was wrong to violate sanctuary. Arsinoe had been spared by Caesar and she had claimed sanctuary in a temple.

  • why was it full of water? i thought it was sealed?

  • It's kind of ironic that when a woman of power does something like kill someone to protect themselves they're called a killer, but when a man or power does it he's seen as a hero and isn't scrutinized for the decision

  • I like the accent ;)
