Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band's epic performance of "New York City Serenade," live at the Main Point, Bryn Mawr PA, 5 Feb. '75. From the boot "You Can Trust Your Car to the Man Who Wears the Star."

If a finer version of this song exists, I don't know about it.

  • Check out the interplay between Tallent, Federici and then-new drummer Weinberg from 3:35 to 4:05. It almost sounds like ska or speeded-up reggae. Tallent's bass-playing on this song is phenomenal.

  • wow this is great! WOOOOOOO!! i'm the first person to comment this! WOOOOOOO!! can't believe you put this whole 18 minute song on here! I needa find this bootleg ASAP! 15 out of 10 stars indeed!

  • @Poyer1023 Glad you're so...enthusiastic! I've been wanting to upload the whole thing for a while now...and when I saw my account was permitted to upload videos of 15 mins. or longer, I had my chance. It is easily in the top 5 of my all-time favorite Bruce performances.

  • There are so many ways to talk about how THIS version of THIS song is great. All I know is, I'm listening to it for the third time tonight. You think I got that much free time? I don't. You think I don't have problems? I do. Hearing this helps. It'll help me face tomorrow. It's that good. And my problems are bad, but... this helps. Thanks for sharing this.

  • THIS is Bruce Springsteen's masterpiece...

And I guarantee you that I was there...

    Wow...

  • The best version ever of this Song!!!

  • This is the finest recording I ever heard. Thanks for posting this classic :)

  • just saw Bruce at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Pittsburgh. The most intimate show ever...couple thousand people. He performed Incident on 57th St for the first time ever on acoustic solo....brought tears to my eyes as well as to others as I looked around. Driving home next day to Niagara Falls, I heard this version of NY City Serenade. I had more tears. I've never heard such a moving version. This is a timeless , moving version delivered from up above. Thankyou Bruce and E street

  • Sooo Good... Magic... I get the creeps when I listen to that song! TX
