This is a melody inspired by the poem of the same name. I normally don't hear music when I read a poem, but this poem was different. Parts 3 & 4 are in a separate video due to the 10 minute video limit. I got this version of the poem from Wikisource, but the following site seems to have a more accurate version of the poem:
http://www.pathguy.com/shalott.htm
The rhyme scheme of each stanza is AAAABCCCB, where each letter represents a rhyme sound at the end of each line. For example, B is usually, "Camelot," or, "Shalott," and occasionally, "Lancelot."
This was recorded with a Nokia N800 which samples at 8,000Hz, which makes the audio sound old, which works for the subject matter.
The captions were put in with Video Express software, which came with my camcorder. The Video Express software degrades the audio, so I had to remix the audio with the free MediaCoder program.
Not that I know where the orignal come from..But it is great of your sing
