Burbank Choral is doing the Darke version next week.
Both versions are pretty, but the Darke version is WAY harder to sing!

Yes,a nd this usually happens alot in open-air singing depending on the temperature. This choir did a very good job not sharping in the cold weather.

My college choir will be singing this song next week, and we will have a young boy singing the solo portion. It is such a beautiful song.

I dont understand the criticism of the bass singer, you must be very pedantic. The piece was beautiful . I love the Dark version also.Let us not forget what this is about.I know He has my heart . That's all that matters.
The bass is fabulous and gives texture--too many boys' choirs sound saccharine and lacking in depth, not this.

A very flat acoustic which doesn't do them justice. But you should hear them in a cathedral setting with the sound bouncing off the fan vaulting a hundred feet above. Absolutely sublime.
