The Tq to WHP ratio is lower than normal , but that is not due to 4 cylinders , it's due to the bore and stroke . Over-square motors ( Honda's) will make less Tq than square or under-square engines. For eg, EVO 2 L @ 1000 whp will make at least 825 ft/tq it's a square setup ...

An over square setup has less pumping losses at high RPM .. Hence more BHP ....

@loveburningaway, you're an idiot. Low torque numbers? Compared to what. I saw a video of a new gt500 that made 1050hp+ and 850 torque. Which isn't really too far off from these numbers. And it did it with an additional 3.5 liters of displacement. If anything you should be talking shit on that video claiming low torque numbers. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about so please stfu

How can you make a comment saying "k series and hondas in general are known for low torque" they make 4 cylinder engines the torque isn't going to be in the 200's (usually) actually relative to the engines size and the fact it has only 4 cylinders it makes good torque ... plus they aren't engineered with loads of torque because light cars don't need torque ... btw this car doesn't have low torque what is has is less torque than hp because it has a huge turbo on it .. like supras and evos

@loveburningaway You mean to tell me that a 1000hp v8 will sound different than a 1000hp I4?! Get outta town! I don't believe that one bit! The fact that both motors have different cam lift/duration, bore, stroke, compression, or even exhaust size have nothing to do with their different sounds (/sarcasm). Nobody cares if you're impressed. But when you post something, trying to know what you're talking about when you don't, you should expect someone to call you out on it.
