preservationhall01, I'm just glad I got to hear it at all. Thanks for posting.

My favorite version is Ann Miller in "Sugar Babies."

I've liked this song since I first heard it in the "40's", but have never listened to a better version of it. She's great!!! Thanks so much for posting this. I'm so sorry that she retired so early in life. Think of what we'd have if she'd recorded songs from the late "30's" up thru the "40's".

Lady can sing!

Annette is perfect of course, but sorry for a few unrepairable imperfections in the old Perfect 78.

Thank you so much for posting this. I've always liked the song, but didn't know my favorite singer of all time actually recorded it. Also, do you have a copy of the magazine clipping that appears at 1:05? It looks interesting.

Yes I have a copy of the clipping. Go full screen and it should be clear enough to read.

My pleasure, as always.

Sounds like the wrong speed, maybe it's the recording tho.......

You have a very discerning ear. The record is supposed to be 2:54. Small clips were cut out of the soundtrack at 1:34 and 1:46-excessive noise, but this is at the right speed.
