In this After Effects Tutorial, I explain how to create an energy blast similar to the Kamehameha wave from Dragonball Z. This tutorial assumes you have a basic understanding of After Effects, specifically animating and keyframing. I will cover masks, animating properties such as scale, position, and opacity, and effects such as Fractal Noise and Radial Blur.

This tutorial requires the plugin Trapcode Shine. You can get Trapcode Shine at www.trapcode.com.

    I think you're asking how I went through the composition frame by frame. If so, you can hit page down to move one frame forward on your timeline, or page up to move one frame back. Hope that helps!

    I'm actually working on an updated version. Made completely differently and it looks better. Also I promise the tutorial will be in 1080p instead of 240.
