The idea for the dome was a great idea!

How much for one unit to La Quinta, Ca. ?
-
@MaJahBlak i've never used a humidity dome and my success rate is 95%

@MaJahBlak homo depot buckets arent very light tight though. I found some panda plastic and a rubber band works to light tight them. But you are right, black gets too hot and the lowes buckets suck.

bravo!

@Wolvmarine I brought it in the kitchen for the vid. black buckets hold too much heat roots like to be at about 50 degrees F. also a FLOATING AQUARIUM SYSTEM would be called a RAFTING SYSTEM all you need is something that holds water and some styrofoam

Can someone please explain why you would spend so much money on hydroponics when you can just plant in the ground?? Sorry for being naive, i just don't understand the expense!
ABOUT THE HUMIDITY DOME...
A plant without roots and only be fed through the leaves until it develops roots. A humidity dome holds in moist so the leaves and keep the cutting fed until it produces roots. When food in able to be taken in by the roots the dome can be taken off. CN YOU ROOT WITHOUT A DOME? YES BUT not with 100% success like me and not without causing some level of stress to your cutting

would cuttings from heirloom tomato plants still be the same? the fruits will still make good seed like the mother does?.....and can you put well devoloped bubbler clones in soil?

@fkelly84 yes cuttings would be the exact same as the plant it came from. you wouldn't need a bubbler system to root tomato plants they will root very easily within a week or so in a grow plug jjffy plug or just about anything else

what would happen if you decided to leave your cuttings in there for 4 months

@waylan3 you'll have a mess of plants growing all over themselves attracting pests and such
