@MsLadyisatramp It's a swaddling blanket. Babies have no muscular control, and they're used to living confined in a womb. When they come out, nothing scares some babies more than these big, uncontrollable limbs that just club at their faces over and over.  Swaddling prevents them from hurting themselves and reminds them of the comfort of the womb.
