1950 (Before China, as Free Tibet under Dalai Lama and his aristocracy): Tibetan life expectancy = 39 years, 2 million Tibetans, behind Middle Age Europe in living standards, etc...

2011 (Part of China): Tibetan life expectancy = 65 years, 5.4 million Tibetans, 10th largest ethnic group in China. People learned how to read and write Tibetan, instead of bow down all the time.

I believe this could very well apply to China's imposition into Tibet, where they were not wanted nor were their "so called" improvements, as opposed to how the people of Tibet see these things. I'm convinced there is no improvement that can replace 'Freedom.'
