Virraj Sorhvi's sanatorium in Shimla (in the Indian state of the Himāchal Pradesh, an area known to the outside world as the Lesser Himalayas) — an institution in which Virraj has now spent three months — evokes in some crucial respects Bruno Schulz's vision of a similar establishment portrayed in his book "Sanatorium pod Klepsydrą" (Sanatorium under the Sign of the Hourglass; 1936). As Virraj ponders the reflection of his face in the sanatorium's antiquated, weather-beaten window, the appearance of a rainbow, fraught with biblical significance, which occurs after a rain shower, invests the moment with a mystical dimension by bringing him closer to... well, to the end of the rainbow, or what the French call "le domaine du rêve"...

Could you please tell more of your story? How did you end up in hospital for so many days? Where is your family?

How did you gain your education?
