Students went to the International Village area in East Atlanta for a 2 day mission excursion. The trip consisted of visiting international marketplaces, cleaning a soccer field strewn with beer bottles, and playing with children in apartment complexes. An estimated 90% of the world's people groups are represented in this area of Atlanta. The trip was organized in conjunction with Tim Cummins of Whirlwind Missions and Toni Branyon, head of Communities in Transformation (a sister of IMPACT through Lifeshape, Inc.). This trip also began to prepare the students for their month long International Experience in Eastern Europe (January 11-February 11, 2008).
