This is a short introductory Video to the European Union and the Euro.

"In 2002 the Euro was first introduced,
12 of the 15 EU members issued the Euro,
The 12 member states that adapted the Euro in 2002 where, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
The 3 members that did not adapt the Euro in 2002 where Denmark, Sweden and the United Kingdom,
Although not part of the EU in 2002 Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City where allowed to issue their own Euro coins.
In 2004 ten new countries joined the EU,
They where Czech Republic, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.
In 2007 Bulgaria and Romania also joined the EU, Slovenia who had joined the EU in 2004 proceeded to introduce the Euro in 2007.
The following year Cyprus and Malta introduced the Euro.
As of 2008 there are 27 members,
15 members have the Euro, 3 states issue the Euro but are not members of the EU."

  • people in kosovo and montenegro use the euro as well :d but they don't have their own euros

  • Yes, Montenegro & Kosovo used the German Deutsche mark before the Euro, When Germany adopted the Euro so did Montenegro & Kosovo by proxy at the same time.

    Do ciebie i reszty polakow co uwazaja ze euro jest dobre dla polski. Polska telewizja pokazuje zachod i euro walute jako cos wspanialego tylko dla tego ze jest rzadzona przez zachod tvn wlascicel niemcy polsat holendrzy i co ty myslisz ze oni beda zle mowili o swojm biznesie, zobacz grecje bogaty kraj euro sie przyczynilo do ich kryzysu to pomysl co w polsce zrobi, zaraz padnie portugalia i wlochy zobaczysz.
