  • I always find ruined buildings if there is some rubble left over to indicate where once walls stood. If you look at actual destroyed buildings there is always some rebar (sp?) and pillars showing. Especial in corners. It gives the visuals of How large the building actually was.

On the GW buildings I always keep at least 2 pannels for every corner, or use some plasticard and those connection rod things.

Other then that, Awesome work as always. (I end up saying that quite a lot on your videos)

  • @sordorel Thank you. I totally agree with you on this and I thought about it for a while. In the end I decided that stealing panels for the missing walls would reduce the size of the buildings more than I wanted to. When doing the rubble, to give it real height, it needs to have a wide base (say twice as wide as high roughly) so filling in all the missing walls with rubble piles would quickly fill up the base limiting troop placement quite a bit.

  • @sordorel I try to aim for compromise to maintain good playability and if the bases are covered with rubble, even low piles, it makes finding spots for troops to stand up much more difficult. Especially metal models that are really top heavy such as old Chaos Terminators for instance.

What I did when I was asembling this set, I took a few strips of plasticard and thin pieces of foam to give the faint suggestion of the walls, most of the time they arrent near a rubble pile, nor are they high enough to provide cover.

When constructing one of these sets, just lay out a bit of rubble in the shape you think the walls used to run, just a dryfit, you be surprised. (or I loose my credibility, one of the two)

  • @sordorel Good advice. I will try it on the next set. :)

  • ano you said you added extra walls to make the building much larger but how many imperial sets did you use for each building and by the way i love you videos you go skill mate keep up the good work

  • @darknessrage28 All the buildings were constructed from a single Imperial Sector Box set. The set is designed to create approximately 5 buildings though some end up small if you don't add extra panels.
