Pictures of film 'La Pianiste' combined with music by Satie

I made a selection of images from the film 'La Pianiste' (2001), the brilliant masterpiece directed by Michael Haneke, with a superb leading role by Isabelle Huppert, playing the pianist Erika Kahut. Her student Walter Klemmer, who falls in love with her, is wonderfully played by Benoit Magimel.

I combine my selection of pictures from 'La Pianiste' with Erik Satie's Gnossienne no.1 and no.3, piano music that makes me think of the film's atmosphere and vice versa. Hope you'll also like the combination of pictures from 'La Pianiste' with Erik Satie's music. The music is played by Marcela Roggeri, from her great album 'Erik Satie - Piano Works'. Both the film and the music -you should watch and hear them in much better quality on dvd and cd- are highly recommended.

Such haunting music to accompany a very disturbing film. I know of no other actress who possesses, without shame, the intensity of Isabelle Huppert. "Terribly fitting" is perhaps the perfect oxymoron to describe your combination of film footage and music. Thanks for posting this.
