Follow the thoughts of Mr. Barney Calhoun, a Black Mesa security guard and pessimistic individual. In this episode our protagonist aligns some focus emitters, kills some cacodeamons, escapes back to Black Mesa, and then gets volunteered to return to hell again.

I have a theory for thos trees and giant stalagtites.

The trees hang anound the tiny shiny things and they somehow grow big and tall and hard.

That somehow sounds wrong.

I think those trees can tell you're there by using electromagnetic sensors (sharks use a similar setup to see in dark areas or with their eyes closed) and attack in the direction the electromagnetic energy is high enough to warrant a life form. I'm not a biologist, so pretty much everything I just said should probably be taken with a grain of salt at most, but that's just my theory.
