I had the privilege of "interviewing" Vince Scully in 1957 as a 16-year-old sports editor of my high school newspaper. He is a genuinely nice man--to spend time counseling a kid who was contemplating a career in sports media (unfulfilled, as it turned out) was a wonderful gesture.
