Virgo - original acoustic instrumental

I wrote this around 4 years ago, when I was listening to even more Leo Kottke than usual. I was trying to get a bit of a 12-string effect with the main melody, since I didn't have one at the time. I don't think I've ever been 100% happy with any single performance, but I thought it's about time I finally recorded it anyway.

Thanks! I had actually never listened to Fahey before I wrote this, but was really into Kottke (who was undeniably influenced by Fahey), so maybe that's how that influence got in there?

Wow, I am beyond flattered, but I have to say in fairness that there are many people out there better than me. The koa really has a unique tone, that guitar is my soulmate. Fortunately, it was about half that much. But worth every penny. It's a Yairi WY-1K, and one of the most amazing guitars I've ever played.

I'll take that as a compliment! My goal when writing this was to give the effect of a 12-string (like he uses on that song) on the main melody even though it's played on a 6. This is tuned in open D. I'm glad you liked it!
