I am very happy for you both. I wish you the best in this new treatment.

So many prayers for you and your wife. Please tell her she is in my thoughts as she undergoes supression and superovulation. I know it's awful but it will one day be a distant memory as she deals with morning sickness! I want this almost as bad for ya'll as I did myself. You're in our prayers that all goes smoothly and that you are blessed beyond belief with a beautiful healthy baby....or two!

Thank you. We'll let you know how it goes. This has been such a long long long long path. Perhaps we are nearing the end.

Thank you! I hope that we don't have to go through this again.

I almost forgot, one last thing. Allow yourself to enjoy this. I know it sounds crazy right now but it is a process to reach your baby, enjoy all of the "good" what ifs and possibilities. Like I always told myself "there will be plenty of time for tears and anguish later if need be, I'm going to take pleasure in the 'what if it works' right now, it may be all I have to enjoy, then again -it may not!". We are so hoping for you both.

We have been trying to take this advice to heart, but really, there is so much anxiety, which isn't helpful. I tend to naturally fear the worst, perhaps to save myself the disappointment of failure. I know this isn't useful at all and I'll try to put it aside. Thank you!

The procedure sounds quite promising if you ask me, with today's technology they will surely find atleast one sperm that is able to be utilized. I wish you the best Bernard, i'll keep you in my thoughts and will be looking forward to the good news.
All the best, Paul

Both the urologist and the fertility doctor are also optimistic that they should be able to find viable sperm. There are a lot of unknowns, and at the best the odds are not with us. But sometimes the bread has to fall butter side up.
