By popular demand: when we compared the D7000 with the 7D last week, we received a lot of comments saying that it would be more appropriate to compare it to the 60D. This week, we take a look at the Nikon D7000 and Canon 60D to see how they compare. Which one is the better camera for you?

Of course my name being rebelsapien doesn't have to do with being a fan boy, just a coincidence. I don't see anything to feel so offended about that.

Having my opinion doesn't make me a fanboy anyway.

ANd I didn't say your views are biased. My opinion was also based on the entry level Nikons I used (D40 & D60). I was quite disappointed.

    But then experience is personal.

  • Nikon d7000 is better!

  • @RebelSapien I did own a 500D. so i guess that makes my opinion unbiased. Yeah, a person who calls himself rebelsapien is not a canon fanboy. LOL! anyway, just get out and take some nice pictures.doesnt matter what you use.

  • Always biased reviews and rarely in-depth

Of course .. D7000 is actually a competitor to 7D but 60D still holds its good.

There are features the D7000 doesn't even feature but not discussed at all.

  • @jvgeli I think you haven't tried that yet on Canon... but like said before.. no point in banging the head. I too have used Nikon and Canon compared and selected the one that suited me. I have had rarely any trouble changing settings one-handed on Canon.

Comments on menu system is not fanboyisms as you are saying. It is about practicality.

Also, Canon has started clubbing 60D with the sales of 600D & 550D since months whereas 7D is still sold as a pure semipro.

  • @poz3idon do u have a 60d with EF-S 18-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS ??

  • From having experience with both, the D7000 is worlds apart the 60D.

    60D isn't a bad camera though.
