http://www.kidssewing.org -- How to Setup a Sewing Room Space: 1) Sewing Table - Kids Sewing...
In this Getting Started Sewing video clip on how to set up a sewing room Katrina Marie will show you an adjustable table. To setup your sewing studio you will need 12 basic things. You don't need a whole lot of space for sewing. 4 feet by 6 feet will work great. First, you will need a fold-up craft table that can be found at either a craft store or on the Internet. Having a folding table is nice because you don't always have to have your sewing space set up. This particular table is adjustable, so it can be bigger if you are an adult or smaller for a kid. You can also pull it away from the wall in case the piece of fabric you are working on is larger and you need it to flow behind your table. So, there is your sewing table!
