Budding scriptwriters TAKE NOTE, and listen to Quentin, the master of dialogue. THIS is how you avoid the all-too-common problem of "forced dialogue"--dialogue which grates on the ears, because it's so obviously there to inform the audience, but is not in character for people to say."
Character-driven plots, as a rule, tend to be "better" than plot-driven characters. It "feels" more real--it allows the audience to suspend disbelief, and be drawn into the story.

makes perfect sense, it's how I write for my creative writing class at school

@burf69 cocaine is a helluva drug

@brassmonkeyjew no not really....unless he paid off Christoph Waltz to complement on his writing and the amount of writing he can do in such a short period of time. I guess that it is a conspiracy. You can solve it since you started it.

I have been a fan of Tarantino's for almost 20 years but I cringe when I see him interviewed these days. What's with the "oKAY?" and "alRIGHT?" shit all the time?

@2hot4allofu except Brad Pitt or Pittyfull

@breasthound you have no idea what your talking about. He picks an actor and writes an entire screenplay for that actor. That why is so natural and enticing.

tarantino is a great director. crap script writer though. all his dialog sounds like it's been wrote by one person if you know what i mean.
p.s.s. JUST WATCHED INGLORIOUS BASTERDS AND IT WAS SICK....complex plots, well done acting, and great dialogue

Curb your Enthusiasm w/ Larry David is probably some of the best un-scripted dialogue..................
