Since the late 80s, Shermans trademark moody black and white photos have broken new ground in a field where bright, front-lit color was the standard. Drawing on the influences of portrait photographer Mark Seliger (Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair) and the unrestrained, creative grit of the skateboard world, Shermans surf star portraits and lifestyle photography explore uncharted realms of behind-the-scenes intimacy and journalistic presence, bringing fans closer to their surfing heroes than they ever thought possible. I shoot the images I do because Im a surfer for life, passionate about music, and a big fan of pro surfing, says Sherm.

Im truly stoked and honored to bring to you Steve Sherman Black and White. A first in a series of Billabong Photographer Series T-Shirts. Ive had a long standing relationship with Billabong and Im so happy to see this happen in conjunction with them. From Occy to Andy Irons, I have always been in awe of their talented and photogenic crew of team riders. I have enjoyed every single moment of shooting photos and surfing along-side with them. This is my first t-shirt series ever. They really represent me and celebrate my love for surfing and photography. Enjoy!!
