SPOILERS from the movie Third Star.

Right after I watched this movie, I felt numb. I literally left like I just watched my best friend die in front of me and I couldn't do anything to stop it. I've never been a crier when it comes to movies and tv shows. It's pretty rare for something to make me actually full on cry. This movie made me cry for a good ten minutes after it was finished.
Third Star is a beautiful film. Everything about it. I highly recommend it. Just a warning though, you may get teary eyed. haha
I wasn't able to get Third Star out of my head all day, so I though a perfect way to get it out of my system was to edit a vid about it. I helped a lot.
I kept the editing very simple. I didn't want to ruin the video with my crappy coloring skills either. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to leave a comment letting me know what you guys think! :]

  • i watched this and it made me nearly cry, i haven't even watched the film yet... WELL DONE!!!

  • @actynalice If you watch the actually movie it will have you crying like a little baby! haha Thanks for watching. :]

  • OMG i want to watch this NOW! omg omg what is it actually about?????? plz someone tell me????

  • @actynalice Here's the summary from IMDB: James and his three closest lifelong friends go on an ill-advised trip to the stunning coastal area of Barafundle Bay in West Wales. What follows is a touching and comical adventure dealing with friendship, heroism and love.

  • For me, this wasn't a movie that made me cry. Its so much better than that. I cry in cheesy, overly-dramatic movies (think Titanic)

This movie left me feeling numb and empty. Like my best friend had just been ripped out of my life. Its been a couple hours since I watched it and that feeling is still with me.

    Beautiful, powerful movie.

  • @soapyburps After watching it, there was this feeling in the pit of my chest that made me want to scream. I didn't cry. I just sat there... God, you should watch Sea Wall, too. It just stunned me.

  • I know what you're saying, about feeling numb. After watching the movie, I literally didn't move from my chair for 10 minutes and just bawled. I couldn't stop crying. I even knew how it was going to end, but I still couldn't stop. I'm going to watch it with my mum soon, and I predict just as many tears, maybe even more. Such a great, emotional, moving movie that EVERYONE really needs to see.

  • I'm crying and I haven't even seen this film what the heck.

  • God, this movie. I mean, it's definitely not cheesy, but it's also not ~deep~ or ~philosophical~, it has a real rawness that is usually reserved to real life. I mean, that scene in which James and Miles talk about Miles' book and they seriously just don't really say anything, and they're so angry, but they still love each other, and as a viewer you don't understand anything except that they're just really friends - that's cinema. I don't cry during films, but this had me bawling.

  • I watched it this morning before I had to go to work and the only thing that stop me from crying was that I didn't want to redo my make-up, which is trivial I know (but I did choke up), but from the start I knew where it was going. So I was expecting what happened at the end. During the final scenes the only thing, I could think about, I'm sure some people will disagree with me, BUT its my opinion, I hoped, if I were in that type of situation, my best friends would so the same for me.

  • @soapyburps I felt that way too, for a while.

and then I suddenly burst into tears

  • Nooooo

  • I just reasently watched...like ten minutes ago. And I just feel so...numb. This movie really got to me, great acting, and so emotional and real. oh.and great video btw :)

  • This movie definitely makes you overwelmingly sad. Very realistic movie. Absolutely amazing!

  • Urgh, every time I think about this movie everything suddenly seems so sad

  • freeze frame 1:10...that is the best shot in the entire film.

  • @DrNightmareInk I am torn in two here, too. On the one hand I adore Benedict's acting - on the other hand I probably couldn't stand his drowning. What an emotional whiner I am.....

  • I don't think if any other movie touched me like this one did...

I actually watched it three days ago, and it's still on my mind...

It's very simple, but so pure, so.... realistic and altogether ineffable.

Like everyone already told it leaves you all... numb and heartbroken, like you just witnessed you best friend dying, like you had to let go of someone close to you; but it also strangelly left me... motivated, inspired, sorrowful, but... also kinda blissful and ... peaceful...

  • probably the most powerful movie i have ever, ever seen.

  • The thing is, watching Titanic being based on a real event broke my heart. But seeing this, something millions of people go through every day, tore me to pieces. Both films are equally sad, but I think Third Star left a lasting numbness inside me, the acting and the storyline was beautiful and heart-wrenching and the film is just generally perfect.

  • What's the soundtrack called?

  • Crying once more. That last line of the movie was beautiful and that's how it should be for every life.

  • Oh god. I'm crying again. Amazing, you're good ! This movie is sort of beautiful and sad <3

  • Oh gosh, here come the tears. I watched this movie last night, and I'm still not over it. The beauty of this whole movie is just... stunning. As is this video. <3 Well done.

  • @shahirashaharuddin The song is called Flightless Bird by American Mouth. It came from the Original Soundtrack for the first Twilight movie.

  • I think this is one of those films you can only properly see once. After that, when you know the ending, everything you watch on screen seems tainted and biased because you know what's going to happen. That's why I encourage all to persevere with watching this the first time round.

  • omg, this is beautiful! but can somebody tell me what song this is? My head's literally going to explode

  • I haven't even seen the film and I cried at this. I am getting prepared to see it tonight as my Valentine's Day blockbuster night.

  • Crying right now. So beautiful. I only saw this film last night and I was sobbing buckets at 12:30am. Such a chilling performance from such an amazing man with a totally heart-wrenching story. Going to cry some more now. Fabulous video. xox

  • One of my favorite clips from the movie is at 0:19. He's in the middle, the friend that obviously keeps all of them together, and the one the care about the most. I love how they are surrounding him, staying close.

(Of course the tent was small so they HAD to be close, but it's still heartwarming. )
