Hermione and Severus are an item. The story starts off with Hermione remembering how she thought Severus was an arrogant prick when she first met him. When Severus sees her at the Christmas ball seventh year, he realizes that she is an amazing women, and slowly starts to fall in love with her. They begin to discuss how hard it is to keep their relationship a secret and eventually begin to fight about it. While out one day having a discussion on where to go from here, Hermione notices someone through the bushes. It is Voldemort and a battle ensues. Severus fights for his and Hermiones life but in the end they have fallen.

I left the ending as a cliff hanger to let your little hearts decide if they live or die.
