OMG I was walking around Walmart today and this hook dropped in my head, couldn't remember the artist but i had her face in mind. Got home and started searching and here I'm made happy!!!! So many good memories during this time of my life and lawd knows lady LIFE have altered my life all for the good but this song stayed in my innerts. LOL thank you so much for posting this jewel.

i, too have been looking 4 this song 4ever. i saw the video on bet only a couple of times on BET years ago and fell in love with the intensity and passion in her voice. i agree, she does make 1 think of the immortal phyllis h!! what a lovely and inadvertant tribute to both phyllis and the angst of being in love and not having that love returned.

finally...Ive been looking for this song forever! See performed this song on an episode of Showtime at the Apollo and tore the house up! The live version was even better than the recording!
