@TheWillwillwill yea i know i also used to jump off cliff here in willow creek that were 70' high but i also knew what & where i was going to land on & where. Like with yourself climbing with out a rope is a risk your willing to take & i realize it is there choice but at the time the last thing the coast guard needed to be doing, would be saving a couple of thrill seekers during a TSUNAMI.
Yes i love the thrill still but in a smarter fashion i guess, were all young once.

@kandeman707 I do get what you are saying about the danger, but in a way that is the draw. In the past, I did a lot of rock climb, both with and without rope. I have also scuba dived in rivers with fast moving currents. It is the risk that makes these activities exciting.

@TheWillwillwill APPEARED to be, but in that thicket where those trees are happens to be a low spot and not as close to the hill as you think but with that much water that fast your putting yourself in danger.

You had your children in a tsunami hazard area? What would motivate you to put your children into harms way like that? You should have child endangerment charges filed against you! You never know when one of those waves could have been a big one. People like you make me sick. Your as bad as the guy whos child drowned in the bay.

I happen to be from HUMBOLDT CO. & NO most of us LOCALS are smart enough to stay away from this kind of danger. Its just like when it floods around here, water is an awesome force but EXTREMELY powerful & dangerous! Its stupid to dis respect nature in the wake of a MEGA EARTHQUAKE!
Idiots probably look at a burning gas plant & want to get a closer look.

Child abuse, I am from New Orleans, Some Momies and Daddys thought it would be cool to see Katrina. They found the babys floating face down days later. Momie and Daddy were also smoking a little MJ. The gene pool gets shallow real quick when Mother nature gets involved.
