No one has ever played this tune like this and I doubt if they ever will. This is an out of the planet masterclass on composition, dynamic acoustic guitar playing.

  • ii still remembered the first time i saw him on youtube, i played the guitar for only 3 months.

like a fool, i picked up my guitar and tried to imitate him. of cuz i played crap. ii wasn't even fretting the right stuff. What i'm trying to say is that, Tommy inspires people to do things.

  • Thanks J0sA1Ac he certainly does, but keep on playing you WILL get there in the end -Oh yeh I've been to Singapore three times lately, I love it!

  • this is the best recording of tommy emmanuel's somewhere over the rainbow EVER!

  • Thanks vncnzo it is quite outstanding

  • Me and my mate Andy went to see Tommy at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, Previous to that we saw Joe Satriani, It Bites then Paul Gilbert. Andy saw Yngwie as well. We were blown away by Tommy. He was simply awesome. Awesome I tell you. He has jumped to no.2 in my all time guitar player list. Behind Yngwie. Only just no.2 mind...

  • Hey cheers Nick you sound like one of the good guys -Tommy is brill I've seen him now from playing to half a dozen of us in a back street pub to what he is now, he deserves it all if only through his sheer determination -but we all know its alot more than that. Take care bud

  • He's the man. awesome.

  • I love the way he plays the guitar. When I die this will be the kind of music i'll hear on my stairway to heaven

  • Nice to hear from you Chris, take good care!

  • in some ways, it's like he owns the song now, even though it wasn't written by him, and I think that's what so special about his playing (unique playing!!) and that's why everytime he plays it it's always not exactly the same.

Great musician, and I think the greatest guitarist of the past and current centuries.

Cheers an thanks for this video.

    Chris
